Artist's Description
The Healthcare Gallery in Baton Rouge Louisiana comprises a team of health and wellness doctors who were inspired to practice in an art gallery environment versus subjecting clientele to the typical clinical experience. This body paint and photo project was performed within the gallery before a new multiple-artist show was installed. A broader collection of prints called “Colored People” were captures of body paintings by Angela Rene' Roberts, preserved on canvas and featured in this show through May of 2015. The female family members of model Brittany Breaux, and what they overcame in life, were the inspiration for this painting.
About Cully Firmin
My passions and professional work are in art and science. On the science side of life, I developed significant new technologies in the fields of sensors, spectroscopy, and imaging instruments. My specialty is the design of instruments for harsh environments. In the arts, I practice photography, figure drawing, modeling, and a variety of media that extend the expressions of the human form.
