Shooting my wife is an artistically rich pleasure. She emotes a diverse range of energies. Her poses transition from the athletic daredevil to the most sultry posture - in a moment. I see this image as a sensual female counterpart to the famous Thinking Man. She appears to be reflecting on where she's been, and wondering where to go next. Our conversations that day reinforce this perspective.

My passions and professional work are in art and science. On the science side of life, I developed significant new technologies in the fields of sensors, spectroscopy, and imaging instruments. My specialty is the design of instruments for harsh environments. In the arts, I practice photography, figure drawing, modeling, and a variety of media that extend the expressions of the human form.
